Happy Sunday Creative Army!

Have you had a creative weekend so far? I have some content here for you that is sure to get the creative juices flowing, so grab your coffee and let's dive in.

First up, the folks over at Indy Mogul recently sat down with television production designer Ian Phillips (Parks and Recreation, The Good Place, Love) to talk about the role production design plays in telling a scripted story. Using examples from Ian's previous shows, he discusses multiple facets of how character and story are developed through design.

Next up, Wired talks all things animation with Danny Dimian (VFX Supervisor) and Josh Beveridge (Head of Character Development), two of the key players behind the oscar-winning animated feature film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. They cover everything from their stylistic animation choices, to how they designed the city of New York like a character in the film. If you, or someone in your creative community, writes for animation be sure to check out our freshly launched New Voices in Animation Screenwriting Contest

As always here at Stage 32, we love to share stories and knowledge with our fellow film fans. Know someone who would love this content? Share it with them! Tag them below!
