Calypso and eco-Inspiring animation apparently are Panama`s next big step, as upcoming producer Anghelo Taylor seems about to prove. Taylor, belongs to a line of talented Panamanian producers to keep an eye on.

Accion, the Panama film company led by Anghelo Taylor together with a team of long-standing Panamanian talent is present at every major international market including, of course, Cannes and Berlin, and their networks go beyond continents including China. Their wide network and innovative financing pipelines could raise the production levels of Central American films.

Taylor`s vision is to find a balance between the taste of local audiences and the acceptance of international markets working with Latin American talent. The company line-up currently has two projects, the documentary “Calypsonians” a coproduction with Denmark that was at the Morelia Film Festival industry Works in Progress and the animated “The Island of Extinct Animals” an eco inspiring story that will start its path at this year’s Annecy - MIFA in Lyon, the biggest film festival and market for animation.

So lets keep an eye on this producer and company. So far we are delighted with their knowledge of the international and local film industry.
