Hello everyone,
I’m a French creator developing Coastdale, an episodic animated sitcom set in the fictional city of Ridgway City, Connecticut. The show focuses on sharp humor, dynamic character interactions, and US-centric pop culture references that are often intentionally untranslatable — very much in the spirit of American satire.
While the art style is inspired by certain Japanese animation aesthetics, Coastdale is not an anime. This hybrid style is a deliberate artistic choice to contrast with the humor and tone, which are firmly rooted in US sitcom tradition. The show’s episodes stand alone, focusing on the characters’ misadventures, witty banter, and occasional flashbacks, rather than an ongoing serialized plot.
I’m sharing some concept art and storyboard excerpts here to give you a taste of the tone and style. I’m looking to connect with industry professionals, producers, and creatives who share a passion for bold, character-driven comedy in adult animation.

Hi, Adrien Le Maître. Welcome to the community. Stage 32 has a blog that'll help you navigate the platform and connect with creatives and industry professionals all over the world (www.stage32.com/blog/how-to-successfully-navigate-the-stage-32-platform-...).
Stage 32 had a live Community Open House last week. It'll also help you navigate Stage 32 and connect with creatives and industry pros. You can watch the recording here: www.stage32.com/education/products/stage-32-july-community-open-house
I suggest using a photo of yourself as your profile picture. People will feel more comfortable networking and collaborating with you if they know what you look like. You can upload a picture by clicking the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu, then clicking the red button underneath your location and choosing "Update profile picture."
Coastdale sounds interesting. What hooked me about your sitcom is "focusing on the characters’ misadventures."

Hi Maurice,
Thank you for the warm welcome and for sharing these resources — I’ll make sure to check them out, especially the Community Open House recording.
I’m glad to hear that the “characters’ misadventures” caught your attention — that’s exactly the heart of Coastdale, focusing on humor, character dynamics, and quirky situations rather than a continuous storyline.
I appreciate your suggestion about adding a profile picture as well.
Thanks again for your time and encouragement!
Best regards,
Adrien :)

You're welcome, Adrien Le Maître. Once you have a pilot script, logline, and synopsis, you could post them on your profile. Producers search profiles on here for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script, logline, and synopsis on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)

Adrien Le Maître pleasure to get connected - I love the art style. Like Bob Harper - i'm also developing an adult animated comedy content. I saw you were also sharing a storyboard however I did not see it in the post (might have missed it), would love to check it out when you get a chance! Look forward to hearing from you.
