Nintendo and Illumination are taking us back to the stars with the brand-new trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, the highly anticipated follow-up to 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

The film brings back familiar voices — Chris Pratt (Mario), Jack Black (Bowser), Anya Taylor-Joy (Princess Peach), Charlie Day (Luigi), and Keegan-Michael Key (Toad) — and introduces Brie Larson as Rosalina and Bennie Safdie as Bowser Jr. As a huge Mario kid growing up, I'm SO pumped that Rosalina is being added into the mix in this movie!
Produced once again by Chris Meledandri (Illumination) and Shigeru Miyamoto (Nintendo), The Super Mario Galaxy Movie promises a cosmic adventure filled with new worlds, bigger stakes, and the same playful energy that made the first film a global hit.
Directed by returning filmmakers Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, with a screenplay by Matthew Fogel and music by Brian Tyler, this sequel looks like it’s aiming to level up every aspect of the original.

I'm excited for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Ashley Renee Smith! I think the trailer is incredible, and I like the new elements. I played some of the games and watched the 1993 movie growing up, but I didn't get deep into the lore, so I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with the movie!
