Loved The Lost. Vincent, do you have any plans to turn it into a feature?

Maurice Vaughan

The bears in "Exit Pursued by a Bear" are so funny, Jessica! I loved the costumes! Did you get them made, or did you buy them somewhere?

Navid Lancaster

Great to see everyone here

Emily J

Congrats to all the filmmakers! I think a question that comes up a lot with up-and-coming filmmakers -- how did they finance their short films and how did they manage to achieve products of such high quality with limited funds?

Maurice Vaughan

The ending of "The Lost" is so unique, Vincent Cortez! How did you come up with it? You don't have to give away the ending. Just how you came up with it.

Maurice Vaughan

I have a question about "Jane," Noel Vinson, but it's a spoiler, so I'll ask you later. :)

Vincent Cortez

Nicole de Meneses - thank you! I do have a feature version of THE LOST that ups the scale and overall plot, but still maintains the focus on family trying to find hope in the midst of a sci-fi/horror crisis.

Vincent Cortez

Maurice Vaughan - thanks for that. The ending for THE LOST was pretty organic for me in the development of the story and script. I do usually try to map out the beginning and ending of the story early on, and visually this felt like the ending that shows the "hope" the main characters had paid off.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Vincent Cortez. I do the same thing. Map out the beginning and the ending of a story. I think your ending makes your film stand out from other post-apocalyptic/zombie movies.

Roxana Anghel

Amazing Q&A session! I loved all nominated movies, great selection and Paco was truly the best! Congratulations to all! Looking forward to collaborate with the winners for their next projects! ;)

Maurice Vaughan

I need to see these films as features and shows! :D

Noel Vinson

Maurice Vaughan Happy to answer any question you may have!

Maurice Vaughan

This Q&A was great! Best to you all on your goals/projects, winners! Thanks for hosting, Karen "Kay" Ross, and best to you on your goals/projects!

Jessica Redish

Maurice Vaughan thanks for your kind words about the film! The bears were animatronic!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Jessica. Wow, animatronics! The bears' movements look so real! I thought they were actors in costumes.

Jessica Redish

Maurice Vaughan yes, they are! actors in animatronic bear suits!

Maurice Vaughan

Oh ok, Jessica. I thought you meant the bears were full animatronics. :)
