Great breakdown of four walling, Amanda Toney! I've heard of four walling, but not in this much detail. A must-read article.

Amanda Toney Hi Amanda, I’ve only thought of four-walling our human trafficking film, for a specialty release in the education sector.

Amanda Toney It's so great for us to be able to learn from your experience. That was one of my main takeaways from last night's Zoom call. This is a post to be bookmarked for sure.

I four-walled my first film with “work-in-progress” screenings at four theaters (two local, two out of town) while also hitting some fests. Showing a short track record for ticket sales certainly helped with getting distribution. We ended up officially premiering on iTunes then went on to a good run with Netflix. Suffice to say it can be a solid part of a self-distribution strategy.
