Concept Art For The Crowdfunding

When I did a job for Whiteshell Films, I did a series of black and white storyboards plus a few digital, concept art illustrations for their crowdfunding campaign. Here is the first of a series of concept illos I did. A mashup of pencils, inks and digital colors, mixing traditional and digital styles. This was a medium interior shot of the main character. Took the first few scenes of the script to turn them into storyboards and concept art illustrations. Went with a comic/pop art style to reflect certain scenes in the script.

I texted the film director before the new year and so far so good, in terms of raising money for the film production. Makes me happy that my artwork may have played a role in that. Visuals are definitely a key element in presentations, pitch decks and crowdfunding campaigns, when you look for investors to fund your film. Looking forward to the next gig and keep on drawing and watching movies. Study the masters.

Thanks, Maurice.

You're welcome, Rich Terdoslavich. I haven't done a crowdfunding campaign, but I've made a lot of pitch decks. Visuals are definitely a key element in a pitch deck. When I started making pitch decks, I put too many long paragraphs in them. Pitch decks should be more visual than wordy.

If you ever need visuals for pitch decks, you can message me on Stage 32, Maurice. Not a problem. Just keep going. It will work out. Visuals may give the project a visual hook. Did a job for Precariat Productions, concept art for a pitch deck.

Thanks, Rich Terdoslavich. I'll keep that in mind.
