Many people seem not to understand the difference between a "film investor" and a "Donor". When it comes to crowd funding, you are not investing nor will you be allowed to see any back end participation (despite the ploys of what the "producer" says). You are donating, nothing more.
When you "invest", you do so with the expectation and legal right to back end participation. So if you donate to someone's gofundme or others, that's fine and you have a good heart, but just know it's a donation and no matter how huge the film may do, you won't see a penny.
Know the difference and have a wonderful day!
