It’s a bright, sunny Saturday here in Metro Manila, Philippines, and the perfect time to say hello!
Some of you may already know me from moderating pitch sessions, but for those who don’t, hi! I’m James, and I recently transitioned from the Development Services team to the Education Team here at Stage 32.
In my role, I’m dedicated to supporting filmmakers, writers, and creatives at every level. I work closely with the Education team to help ensure every webinar, class, and labs delivers exceptional value, smooth organization, and meaningful engagement for our global community. If you’ve taken a Stage 32 class lately, there’s a good chance I’ve been behind the scenes cheering you on!
When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me doing one of my favorite hobbies: flower arranging. I attended a workshop last month and absolutely loved it. It’s been such a refreshing, creative outlet.
I also want to highlight two free webcasts happening this month, and I encourage everyone to join:

So great to work with you James and I didn't know you love flower arranging! Flower arrangements in Fall colors of orange and gold were my mother's favorite. My favorite flower, the tulip, is seasonal in the Spring here in the U.S. Flower arranging is a wonderful artistic outlet and is a great way to work some creative energy.

Hello James Lagrimas - pleasure to get connected! Love the picture by the way, very vibrant and lively. I love gardening however it doesn't always love me (severe allergies). How has the transition from Development Services to Education been for you?

Hi Brandy Camille! Thank you, it’s wonderful to work with you too
Fall colors like orange and gold sound gorgeous, and it’s so special that they were your mother’s favorite. Tulips are beautiful, though here in the Philippines they’re quite pricey since they’re usually imported from the Netherlands. One of my personal favorites is two-toned carnations. Flower arranging has been such a fun way to express creativity and unwind, and I’m glad you enjoy it too!

Sam Rivera Mabuti! Kumusta ka? I’m glad to hear from you and hope you’re doing well.
I’m always happy to help whenever I can. I also remember you mentioned having relatives here in the Philippines, I hope we get the chance to meet in person someday soon! :)

Hi, Cyrus Sales! Thank you so much, I appreciate that. I’m sorry to hear about the allergies, that can definitely make gardening a challenge. If you still want to enjoy flowers, you might like dried arrangements or artificial flowers made from materials like silk, latex, polyester, or foam. They look surprisingly realistic and are a great way to bring some beauty indoors without the allergies.
And to answer your question, the transition has been great. I love working with the Education Team just as much as I loved working with the Development Services Team.
