Hello, Stage 32! My name is Misha Gankin, and I’m a producer, writer, and director based in LA and Florida. I’ve recently graduated from USC with an MFA in Film & TV Production and a Certificate in Business of Entertainment. Recently, I’ve started my own film production company, Pyrates, and I’m looking to build my network and grow! Currently, I have one feature film in development and have gotten financing to produce and direct an Action Comedy TV Pilot for a limited series. Thanks, Maurice. Nice to meet you! The film is a coming-of-age dramedy that I aim to shoot sometime this summer on a low, perhaps micro-budget.

Hi Bobby, nice to meet you! This pilot is an Independent project with non-industry financing (as of now). The plan is to produce the best pilot possible and then start shopping it to networks and/or distributors. As to why I was asked to lead it, my thesis film at USC premiered to great success at Dances With Films, and I invited the financier to check it out. He liked my film, which gave him the confidence to invest in me as a director and a producer.
