Introduce Yourself : Introduce yourself weekend by Willem Elzenga

Hello there crew,

my name is Willem and I am filmmaking since 1995. I started producing my first feature in 1996 and had a multimedia and film production company in Amsterdam till 2005. In 2004 I also started directing, you can see one of my works (A House of Orange) in videos on my profile in English. In 2006 I started working in digital distribution, which was a new thing. I dsitributed content for Microsoft Gamestream, but had also projects for Sony Playstation and X-box. In 2007 I wrote a screenplay and set-up a new film company that was financed by one of the biggest banks in the world at that time. I travelled throughout Europe and the USA in order to get the film made, but I didn't succeed. In 2009 I moved to shortfilmmaking, photography, music and drawing. When I completely ran out of money I took a job as a corporate image producer and director. In 2023 I formalised my current film and gaming company FireStarter Film Studio. We have about 15 projects in development and spend a lot of time hussling for money and distribution. We also do a lot of research.

On here I like to network, check out profiles, contribute to the discussions and am on the outlook for opportunities. I have two projects with Stage32 members, which both are very promising. On my profile you can also find an interactive tv project which is based upon a couple of games I produced for Dutch Television. I like pioneering in TV and cinema with games. We also have plans for gaming in cinema, meaning that you can play a game with a crowd on the bigscreen with playstation or X-box consoler. This all makes my work as a director very technology driven, I have put some combined AI loglines and synopsis up for you to see what I would like to work on.
