Introduce Yourself : Introduction and question! by Jennie Andreasen

Hi, all! Nice community we've got here! I've been a storywriter my whole life, pretty much. I began writing scripts a couple of decades ago but have never been able to snag a literary agent. Granted, I took a decade or so off from even trying... Anyway, the main script I'm trying to get out there currently is based on a novel...one that I don't have the rights to. I'm wondering if ALL of the open writing assignments here have the rule that you cannot submit a script that's based on a book if you don't have the rights to it. Anyone know for sure? I keep getting excited, then reading the term & conditions, then feeling let down. Heh. Thanks for reading!
