A very interesting comparison between two different styles of editing and framing. Certainly something to consider if you also create your content as well as when working with others. Which style do you prefer?

This is a great watch. I saw a whole doc on the making of Fury Road and the DP reiterated that every moment of the shoot was about center framing. One of my favorite action films and truly fascinating style and technical approach. Thanks for the share, Daniel Husbands!

This is so interesting! I'm not sure I necessarily prefer one style over the other because I think it's dependent on what feels right for the particular project or story. But it's really interesting to get a closer look like this.

I also watched this excellent video as I subscribe to his channel. It does bring to forefront how many filmmakers I see ruin their films by failing to understand eyelines, framing, screen direction, composition to tell stories and communicate emotion. Not just simple 180 rule, but the critical importance of nailing it to make performances work and land with the audience. So much "bad acting and bad writing" is actually "bad eyelines + bad editing". Ashley Renee Smith - maybe this could be panel or webinar or something interactive and audio/visual as you can have actors, writers, directors, DP, and editors breaking this down. It's probably the most common problem I see with films.
