I wrote my 6th feature script Super Turbo Jet Boats in 2021 so it's definitely a quarantine project,
now in production as my first independent "zero-budget" proof-of-concept reel
fortunately it's Adventure / Comedy so the RC toys and plastic action figures
(which have also yielded some exciting AI spin-off material for "Barry's Dream Sequence" in Act I),
create an ultra-mega-super-micro-budget / zero-budget array of production values,
in keeping with the PG tone and goofball family-friendly genre, with a cinematic visual lexicon that is both familiar painterly aesthetic and also creative improvisation, as well as offering scalable story-boarding and expandable 'grassroots' stop-motion processes, needless to say I am educating myself about audio production every week, the whole thing is mega-fun and adventurous trying to bring this to completion.
Throughout the production of Episode 1 of 4, I have two more months of Post just for this Episode however should be able to complete in 2025 the entire feature-length story (also will likely escalate the use of AI even further).

So I'm immensely blessed and infinitely grateful for 15 years of studying the filmmaking industry from the sidelines, and the momentum to bring together sufficient knowledge and creativity to get this one expanding,
last weekend I was just shooting B-roll on a speedboat north of Nassau, Bahamas for a three-day weekend, everything in the project is scalable and I'll be launching it here in Washington DC throughout the exciting year ahead.
I went snorkling on reefs and wrecks last Saturday and Sunday and enjoyed perfect paradise weather, salty Caribbean water, and shooting pool with local talent at the fish fry! Needless to say it was such a party that the police were notified.
So I anticipate even more beach trips to shoot for this flick, even continuing to work with the remote-control boats in lakes, streams and ocean, shooting at sunrise to capture a lengthy montage, just really going out on the razor's edge with every possible avenue, looking forward to scaling up some elements while still keeping it on schedule,
I went into production roughly 18 months ago, so getting to this point has been glacial in the context of the scale and scope of the project,
however since I relocated twice to gain access to scouting locations in Virginia Beach and traveling to several island destinations, it's been worth the delays, I've been able to broaden the range of boat footage to support the script sequences that connect the story timeline, those video clips get a cartoon-style filter in iMovie and blend in with the overall surrealist aesthetic,
I have a really fun and flexible amount of room for complete creative expression, still rewriting pages through all stages of the project, and the fun-factor of racing-boats footage and zooming engines, etc., probably need to scout a couple of Florida boats shows ASAP and catch a race down in the Bahamas!

You're welcome, Daniel Stuelpnagel. I wouldn't have gotten this far with my screenwriting career if not for Stage 32. The education, the events, etc. And I got a lot of work done on three projects during Stage 32's November Write Club.

That is exciting and inarguably leading-edge stories for hungry audiences in the horror arena, that's super focused and specialized.
This project has really brought me around to Adventure / Comedy and I have delved into some Action Thrillers as well over the years, so I have plenty of room to continue with fun fast-paced and goofy concepts!
