I just devoured "THE FUTURE WAS NOW" by former Entertainment Weekly film critic Chris Nashawaty,
this is a superb 260-page journalistic retrospective subtitled "Madmen, Mavericks and the Epic Sci-Fi Summer of 1982" that reaches way beyond its specified time frame to provide a broad and useful range of insights into the collaborative successes of studios, screenwriters and directors that launched so many memorable award-winning and profitable films.
Highly recommended !!
