Just food for thought. I've read tons of screenplays based on real events. One thing most screenwriters have trouble with is shoehorning real life events into a dramatic 3-act structure. If anyone is struggling with that right now, I recommend watching September 5. It's a true story and it has a tight 3-act structure and it's only just over 90 minutes. It's definitely a script to reference.
