I have been diligently writing my movie script for several hours, and am on page 42 currently with a goal to be at 90 pages for a submission in the Big Break Contest. This however has given rise to a question I have. What is the general time taken by you as a screenwriter, to write a coherent movie script of 90 pages? I know we all have different processes and my fan script took well over two years of off and on work to complete initially. Though, this current script I am making leaps and bounds within the story and building the lore/tension for it to feel like an amazing horror thriller.

That's really impressive, Lonnie James! Congratulations! I've written a feature script in 2 weeks. I rewrite as I go when I write a script.

Maurice Vaughan Thanks, I was thinking I needed to submit in March though the deadline is April lol, so I've been working so diligently for no reason. Now both hands are killing me for typing over 5 hours today. Definitely earned a break, with the extra time I'll have enough time to go through an make additional changes. Two weeks is really impressive, I honestly thought this one was gonna take at least a month to write. Though, the words are just flowing out of me.

Drongo Bum That's impressive! I don't know if I could do a short script a day, I struggle with shorter form content though I do need to learn it.

You're welcome, Lonnie James. Yeah, you definitely earned a break. Even a month to write a feature script is impressive. What genre is your script?

Sounds interesting, Lonnie James. Horror Action is my favorite genre mix to write. You could post your script on your profile when it's ready. Producers search profiles on here for projects. Click the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner and select “Edit profile” in the drop-down menu. Scroll down to “Loglines” and click “Add/edit loglines” to the right of “Loglines.” You can also post your script on your profile this way: www.stage32.com/loglines (near the top where it says “Add a Logline”)
