Hello, Mr. Agnew, I am an American writer in London, where I've had three plays produced on stage. Living here 40 years hasn't made me quit America. I have a long play intended as a mini-series suitable for Netflix and the like. THE MESS WE'RE IN is set in country resembling the United States and concerns a presidential election stolen by a member of the political family, THE THORNS. The ongoing coup is challenged by a 23-year old female intern with a major corporate news network. Her ally in trying to halt the overthrow of democracy is LEO, a black independent reporter and political activist, street savvy and outspoken. The corporate media gets the same treatment, as the are part of the coup. The Mess is a political comedy illustrating what political upheaval could happen some day. Or, some members of the audience might realize, it's already happened, and years ago. THE MESS WE'RE IN does a lot of that 'xplaining. If you feel interested in this project, please contact me at writdale@gmail.com. I would be very happy to hear from you. And the role of LEO might interest you. Kind regards and best wishes, Dale Reynolds.
