Introduce Yourself : Hello from an Italian Horror lover! by Martina Girlanda

Hello from an Italian Horror lover!

Hello beautiful people!

I am Martina, an aspiring director looking for the opportunity (read: money...) to make her first feature film. I love Horror and Fantasy, especially when they are mixed, and I cannot wait to explore this platform and see who I can meet and what I can discover in here!

Ugo Cavallo

Hi Martina welcome! I'm French with Italian roots and I mainly write horror (mixed with fantasy, like in my audio series) Do you both write & direct ?

Nick Waters

Great to meet you Martina Girlanda. What are some of your favorite Italian horror films?

Martina Girlanda

Thank you everyone for the nice words ☺ this may be a super stupid question, but is it possible that I cannot find the way to reply to each comment? Meanwhile, I'll answer in here ^^ soooo my favourite dark fantasy films are "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Crimson Peak", and among the horrors I'd say "The others". Special mention for "Sweeney Todd"! And I just direct, so I'm in very need of writers ^^

Martina Girlanda

About Italian films, I'd say the old ones by Argento for sure, especially "Suspiria"!

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Martina Girlanda. You can reply to a comment by putting @ before a person's name. And it's not a stupid question. :) I haven't seen "Pan's Labyrinth" in a long time, but I really like the movie. I've heard of "Crimson Peak." It's on my watchlist.

Paul Campbell

Welcome Martina Girlanda, nice to meet you. I also love horror stories because it gives me goosebumps.

Martina Girlanda

Maurice Vaughan oooh, that's how, thank you! I tried it but it wasn't working on the phone..."Crimson Peak" is visually stunning, maybe more a love story than a proper horror but I loved it anyway :)
