I recently had a really interesting chat with ZB Siwek, founder of Cine Circle, about how they’re helping independent filmmakers get their work seen and distributed.
Cine Circle is well known for running events and courses that help filmmakers learn the ropes and connect with others in the industry. But what caught my attention is their new approach to short film distribution—they’re putting together anthology films made up of curated shorts. This gives a way for filmmakers to find audiences and new opportunities—especially for those who might have felt overlooked by the traditional distribution avenues, particularly when it comes to short films.
ZB also talked about why he stepped back from making his own films to focus on creating opportunities for others. Plus, we discussed why some films manage to make money while others don’t, and what filmmakers can do to improve their chances and a lot more.

This is a must-watch interview, Steve Conway! It has a lot of helpful advice and insight. I learned things from the interview. I think making an anthology film is a great idea for filmmakers, and Cine Circle's approach to anthology films is fantastic! Thanks, Steve and ZB!

Steve Conway I have this in my queue. I have three short films that I have just completed this year. After I run the fest circuit, I'll look for where to land them.
