Introduce Yourself : Re-Introduction Sunday by Kimberly Kradel

Kimberly Kradel

Re-Introduction Sunday

Reintroducing myself for the 3rd or 4th time as a way to connect with the new people!

I am an Artist, Photographer, and Writer living in a 1971 VW Bus in Berkeley, California.

I am currently about 81,000 words into draft one of my first Sci-Fi novel - which I think would also make a great series or film. I’ve written a lot of short form pieces, and finished a short screenplay. I have a few unfinished projects.

My training is in Painting and Photography, which I also do.

I love being on set. I do background work in the SF Bay Area. You can find my profile on Backstage. The most recent short film I was in has been in a few festivals. I think it’s playing in Hong Kong this month.

I would love to meet filmmakers in the SF Bay Area, but will friend globally :)

Hi, Kimberly Kradel. It's great to see you again. Congratulations on getting about 81,000 words into draft one of your novel, and congratulations on being in the short film!

Ashley Renee Smith

Thanks for reintroducing yourself, Kimberly Kradel, it’s always great to see familiar faces staying active and continuing to create! I’m Ashley, Head of Community here at Stage 32, and I love hearing how your artistic journey blends visual and written storytelling. Living and creating from a VW Bus in Berkeley sounds like a story in itself.

Congrats on reaching 81,000 words on your sci-fi novel, that’s a huge milestone! If you’re thinking about adapting it into a series or film, the Screenwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/screenwriting) is a great place to ask questions or explore that process further. You can also connect with other authors and multi-hyphenate creators in the Authoring & Playwriting Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/playwriting).

Since you’re also interested in meeting filmmakers in the SF Bay Area, feel free to post in the Filmmaking Lounge (https://www.stage32.com/lounge/directing) and share more about your background experience. Being on set and working background is such an inspiring way to stay close to the creative energy. It’s exciting to hear that one of your shorts is making the festival rounds!

Keep sharing, and I hope you meet some great new collaborators here.

David Dicaire
