Introduce Yourself : An Introduction to me by Ellie Kavanagh

An Introduction to me

I have been in the creative industry for a long time its all I have ever known starting of in theatre as a writer and producer to video game producing and casting indie to AAA video games I also got to do a bit of VO directing in my time which was supper fun.

But I have always loved writing since I tried to write my first ever vampire novel in secondary school.

My favourite things to write is YA fantasy and dystopian TV. I love creating worlds and life and death scenarios around a school dance to help teens deal with there large emotions in a healthy way like I did with the vampire diaries.

I am trying to create my career and I am thinking about looking into audio dramas to get my work out there. As I know not a lot of producers are taking a risk on that kind of thing at the moment without a proven audience.

I also love creating pitch decks and spread sheets I know weird but it's the producer that lives within my brain. I also make a great cup of tea.

What is everyones favourite genre to write in?

Hi, Ellie Kavanagh. Great to meet you. Writing your first novel in secondary school is impressive! Congratulations! And congratulations on all your accomplishments! My favorite genre to write in is Horror (and Action).

Ellie Kavanagh

Thank you Maurice. I have always loved writing and safe to say that novel in secondary is never seeing the light of day ahaha. I love horror especially 90's slashers

Mikka Hope

Hello. I wish you success. I have more than 30 novels mostly in the genre of fantasy. Two in the genre of science fiction. But I can tell you that writing is not everything. I want my works to be seen by the readers, so that in my big cycle (12 books) a big series is made. But alas. I can’t do this, and there are restrictions in my country. I had to remove some books from the site where they were. One of the books I removed because of a sex change. Woman becomes man.

You're welcome, Ellie Kavanagh. 80's and 90's Slashers are some of my favorite Horror movies.

Your mix of writing, producing, and VO work sounds amazing — audio dramas could be a great next step. I mostly write psychological thrillers but love YA world-building too.

Ellie Kavanagh

I've been looking into audio dramas I just am I a weird place where I don't want to not pay talent but don't have the funding yet to do so.
