Everything needs a plan: a script, book, PR campaign, marketing, magazine article, media interview, blog, podcast -- everything.
Writing isn't exclusive to one genre, to one media, to one platform. It can't be, because every audience is different and gravitates to a different location.
The November Write Club is a great opportunity for holding yourself accountable for what and how you write.
I'm not saying we need to be Pollyanna with our messaging. F that. But we need to be able to look at something we published, especially in the free digital space, a month from now and not cringe and/or delete.
My goal for Write Club is to promise to write with more intention, to be completely true to myself, whether it's to educate, entertain, or just respond to a comment.
Writing with intention, to inspire, tell the story others are too afraid to tell, fight for a cause, be a voice for the voiceless -- to me that's what writing with intention is. That is what I plan to use the Write Club to remind me of. Also, to get over the fear of just writing that damned script.

You're right, Debbie Elicksen. Everything needs a plan. My main goal for November Write Club is finish rewriting a feature script, and I have a plan figured out. I'm rooting for you to reach your goal!

Is the Writers club the same as the Writers Group for stage 32?

I think you're talking about the Writers' Cafes in Stage 32’s Writers' Room, Don Zorbas. They're different than November Write Club.

Debbie Elicksen hi Debbie, yes intention. I think as a screenwriter my intention is always to tell a story with moods and feelings which elicit an emotional response. I came across this quote from Albert Einstein and it really resonated with me:
“The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious. It is the fundamental emotion that stands at the cradle of true art and true science.”
My goal for the NWC is to complete the episode for my science-fiction series and my intention is to create something around ‘the mysterious’, for it to have a sense of wonder. In terms of distribution, well my demographic for this includes the scientific community. And yes, that is something I never thought I’d say, nor have to plan for!
