While partying down in Baja, Rusti's baby sister is kidnapped. To get her back, Rusti's forced to sneak an old Red Cross freight truck across the border. Unaware the cargo's out for blood.

SYNOPSIS:

While hosting a spring break party at her parent's Baja beach house, Rusti slips away that night for a little partying of her own with her 3 friends and her French cousin.

The next morning they all return to find an old Red Cross freight truck parked in front of the house and the rest of the party-goers are all dead, decapitated, drug cartel style. Worst still, Rusti's 9 year old sister, Ariel, is gone.

Just then, Rusti receives a call from a mysterious "Damon," who tells her that if she wants to see Ariel again, she has 8 hours to drive the Red Cross truck, with its secret cargo, over the border. If anyone so much as jiggles the latch to the cargo door on the way, Ariel dies.

Thankfully, Rusti’s cousin knows how to drive a big rig and with the map that was left on the dashboard showing a route of back roads, Rusti and the 4 take off for the border.

They soon learn that Damon can make good on his threat as he seems to know Rusti’s every move. For when anyone else forces the truck to stop along the way, they’re mysteriously decapitated.

Eventually, the truck reaches a mountainside tunnel and they find that its blocked due to a cave-in. And when Rusti enters the darkened tunnel to check for herself, she can’t help feeling that Damon’s right there watching her.

She abruptly gets a call with new instructions. Turn back and go to a nearby town for the night where Damon and Ariel will be waiting.

When the truck arrives that night, they find that the town is crowded with spring-breakers and an armored company of the Mexican army, that’s itching to find out what’s inside Rusti’s truck. Ditto, the local drug cartel.

But when they open it up to find that the cargo isn’t drugs, but Damon himself and his nest of nomadic vampires, restless for their next feeding, no army or local drug cartel can stop them as they turn the town into a river of blood.

On top of this, Rusti gets a call from her mom, “we’re coming back from our fishing excursion. See you in the morning.”

Rusti, her surviving friend and her cousin decide that to save Ariel and destroy Damon and his followers, they must drive the truck AND its RESTING CARGO, back to the tunnel, free Ariel and trap those vampires under a mountain of earth. With nothing but pluck, some mirrors and very scattered daylight.
