EDGEBOUND
By Matt Dycus

GENRE: Drama
LOGLINE: (Season 1 fully written.) A jilted wife returns to her socially-oppressive hometown and starts a farmer’s market stand to save her late mother’s house from foreclosure, but her burgeoning alcoholism, shady outside elements, and her own crime (past and present) threaten to ruin everything... and expose her murder of her husband and his mistress.

SYNOPSIS:

Anna Marino's impending divorce from a wealthy man leaves her seething with rage, emotionally scarred, and driving towards an uneasy solace at the bottom of a bottle. In an attempt to claw back some control and normality, she runs a modest Farmer's Market stand, which serves as a front for the morally gray side hustles that keep her afloat. She has a deep-seated distrust of people, often resulting in her skirting the edge of legality. Yet her shady past is never too far behind, with criminals and law enforcement eager to expose her to a community quick to judge and slow to forgive. Anna is a master of masks, but as the facade begins to crack, every choice she makes is laced with risk, drawing her further into a labyrinth of escalating crimes and spiraling her into an abyss of self-destruction. Along the way, Anna picks up useful partners and makes genuine connections with a select few individuals who serve as proxies for both emotional support and criminal endeavors. The mob is after her husband's journal and the tens of millions he stole from them, a shady real estate investor has Anna's house in his sights, and the police investigate a string of crimes that started happening right around the time Anna returned home. As the walls close in on all sides, Anna makes desperate attempt after desperate attempt to thread the needle and make it to the other side unscathed... and rich.
