A shy, celebrity-obsessed teen endures her overbearing mother, bullies at school and the loss of the lead role in the school play. But when her favorite actress loses the Best Actress Oscar for a sixth time, she cracks and enlists her best friend to help her steal the Oscar and give it to her hero who turns out to be an unbalanced, entitled phony.
