Misty-Jo Pett-Ruas

I’m a music composer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a deep passion for pairing sound with visual storytelling. I have an honours degree in music, specialising in composition and singing, and I’ve been performing and creating music since I was a child. I play piano, drums, and sing, and my experience ranges from writing pop songs to creating soundtracks for film and TV.

Growing up, I was fascinated by how music enhances a storyline—whether through musicals, soundtracks, or even foley. That fascination evolved into a drive to bring my own musical ideas to life. I’m currently working on releasing original music, including a single in February and an EP later this year.

On Stage 32, I’m looking to collaborate with filmmakers, producers, and other creatives who want to elevate their stories with a custom score or soundtrack. Whether it’s a short film, a feature, or a creative experiment, I’m excited to bring emotional depth and atmosphere to your project.
