A cynical writer’s impulsive stunt turns into a chaotic romantic scavenger hunt when he drunkenly proposes via mass text—and one woman, saved in his phone as "Marry Her," actually accepts.
SYNOPSIS:
Jake Stone, a charming but emotionally stunted writer, gives a sarcastic wedding toast at his sister Lily’s wedding, proving once again that he’s the guy who dodges commitment at all costs. But after a booze-fueled night of bad decisions, Jake wakes up to find that he accidentally proposed to every woman in his phone—including exes, coworkers, an old neighbor, and even a few strangers. To make matters worse, one of them actually said yes.
With Lily and her ever-supportive (and Honda-obsessed) husband Craig in tow, Jake embarks on a hilarious and increasingly absurd journey to track down the mystery woman saved in his phone as “Marry Her”. Along the way, they encounter an oddball cast of ex-girlfriends, bartenders, car salesmen, and an old college friend named Sam—whose effortless charm makes Craig uncomfortable about his relationship. As each lead brings them closer to the truth, Jake is forced to confront his deep-seated fear of love and commitment, realizing that this wild mistake might be the universe pushing him toward something real.
But when he finally finds “Marry Her” girl, the biggest shock isn’t that she exists—it’s that she might just be the person who changes everything. With a heartwarming and hilarious mix of romance, self-discovery, and a little bit of Honda salesmanship, Marry Her Girl is a fresh, modern rom-com about accidents, fate, and finding love in the most unexpected places.
