In a Revelation-scarred world, a fraudulent pastor's cursed mark draws plagues and betrayal. Sue, a resolute believer, must lead a fractured band toward The Wilderness—the one true sanctuary—before counterfeit safety damns them.   

SYNOPSIS:

Gunfire rakes a scorched city as Sue, Dan, Howie, Sam, and Pastor Fritz flee patrols. Fritz hides a glowing beast-mark; the longer he denies it, the more danger escalates. A bus diversion buys time; rescuing Emily binds their purpose. In a ransacked safe house they pay the price of false safety—supplies stolen, trust frayed—and push toward a rumored sanctuary called The Wilderness.

On the road, Fritz is stung by a demonic creature while shielding Emily; his Mark flares into spreading sores, stoking suspicion. At a cave altar, symbols ignite; a guardian forces trial-like choices—confession saves, denial burns. Scarred but forged, they recover a sacred ephod stolen from them by raiders and press on.

They reach a hidden sanctuary whose radiance repels demons and Al—but a tribe reveals it isn't the true Wilderness; only the Son of Man will lead there, though a provisional refuge exists until His return. At an old bridge, fear and the Mark split the group. Dan demands of Sue—marriage or faith—and she chooses faith. Manipulated by Fritz, Dan and Howie turn back; AI bots brand them with the Mark, covering them in sores.

Howie stabs Nivlek—who rises in angelic light: "Death will flee from you." Dan seizes Howie's knife and stabs himself—then snaps back to life, coughing smoke and embers. A colossal demon attacks Sue and Emily; a dove descends into Sam, empowering him to crush it. Sue, Sam, and Emily pass a gate into a hidden wilderness and meet an angelic being who seals Sam and commissions him; Sue and Emily are charged to keep this sanctuary. Fritz meets fiery judgment—cast down as lukewarm. The world isn't saved; the remnant is assigned as a larger war gathers.
