About Veronique

Véronique Bernard has more than 20 years’ experience as a producer, director and senior executive in non-fiction film and television production and development. She has worked for WNET Culture & Arts Documentaries, Sundance Channel Original Programming, New York Times Television, National Geographic Television, ABC News Productions and SBS Television in Australia where she was Head of Production.
She has developed, created and produced hundreds of hours of programming including documentaries, reality shows, current affairs, talk shows, specials and mini-series and her work has been shown on TLC, Oxygen, Discovery, National Geographic, Sundance and PBS amongst others.

She won a Grantham Prize for Excellence in Environmental Journalism Award of Merit for her senior producing work on the PBS/Sundance series E2: The Economies of Being Environmentally Conscious and her recent projects include feature documentary The Man Who Invented Himself: Duane Michals (winner of the Special Mention Prize at International Festival of Film on Art FIFA 2013, distributed by Kino Lorber), international documentary series Redesign My Brain (Mindful Media, ABC Australia, Science Channel, Discovery International), PBS series Art in the Twenty-First Century (Season 8) and feature documentary Enter The Faun (America Reframed, PBS World Channel, distributed by First Run Features.) She is currently producing two feature documentaries, one for Fork Films/Films for Humanity and the other with director Deborah Dickson.

Véronique teaches film and television at NYU and Hunter College in New York City and is on the Board of Global Action Project, a social justice youth media organization.
