About Thomas

Thomas Rimmer is a New Zealand stage and screen actor and a playwright. As an actor he's had roles in such theatre productions as "A Midsummer Night's Dream", "Ladies Night" and "The Devils". He has also acted in children's plays for the National Children's Theatre Trust and Kapitall Kids' theatre. His film work includes acting roles in Bill Hunt's feature film début "Fundamental" and Danny Mulheron's horror comedy "Fresh Meat", as well as donning some heavy prosthetics in "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey".
He has also acted on television in such TV shows as "Facelift" and "The Investigator".

As a writer, Rimmer's one-man play "Writer's Block" (which he also performed and produced) was staged in Wellington in 2011, and his play "Waiting for Gaga" was one of the top four entries in the 2012 Young and Hungry Playwright's Initiative. Rimmer's most recent work "Hey Diddle Diddle: The Norah the Explorer Story" is a children’s play due to be staged in the Wellington region in April 2015.
