I’m a published writer with bylines in Shondaland, Cosmopolitan and The Washington Post, as well as other major publications. My pilot “Once More from the Top” received high scores in this year’s “Made in NY Writers Room” Fellowship competition (“There is clear potential for this to be developed into a series”; “This is a story and voice missing from and needed in the television landscape”; “Real potential here, characters that feel fresh and compelling”) and with industry readers in general. My voice is open and light, with both sarcastic and erudite humor, and emotional drama. My editorial point of view is “relationships at the margins”, and I write 30-minute romantic dramedies featuring Black female protagonists who grapple with such issues as addiction, sexuality, chronic illness, middle age, childlessness. I have three half-hour comedies and one hourlong drama pilot available. Yale BA, Duke MBA, over 45, if that’s relevant. Non-WGA.
