A timid divorcee reluctantly enters the world of nude cabaret dancing in mid 90’s Phoenix.  A total fish out of water - but after numerous raucous and over the top …   often dangerous, adventures -- she transforms – then achieves her goal of financial independence and inner peace.

Trusting, obedient and financially dependent on her dominating husband, HONEY (20’s) is devastated to find her hubby, KEVIN (30’S) having sex with another man he found on Craigslist

Realizing that she was unloved and just there to give cover to him, they split up and he cuts off her finances. Honey moves in with her wild grandparents, MARGARET and RICHARD who try to ease the pain and make her laugh. She bonds with her grandpa at a shooting range.

Seeing that her bills are piling up and with a deep need to stand on her own and get her own apartment, -- and life -- she tries to get a job but has no experience. Honey contacts a high school friend and she influences the new divorcee to try topless dancing.

Honey is extremely shy. She nervously checks out a club near the house, but never being in one before, her mind is blown. While watching dancers, men crudely hit on her and runs to the bathroom upset. LEXI and FANCY see Honey and comfort her. Eventually Honey feels strong enough to speak to the manager, but he is grabby and disrespectful. Later Lexi sees her crying in the parking lot and offers to take her to MY SECRET CABARET, which is run by women and much more fair to the dancers. DORY (60’s) earthy and well-armed, runs the club for her porn star daughter VENUS (30’S). It is topless AND bottomless, which frightens Honey but it is optional and they let her ease into that aspect whenever she is ready.

She meets some crazy dancers like INFINITY, a fellow newbie, JOLENE, the old pro, KAT, chunky and uninhibited, FEMKA who pretends to be Danish and the queen of Goth, MICHELLE FROM HELL. PRINCESS, a Tijuana alley cat is hired, and dancer's money comes up missing. A major complication for Honey who is trying desperately to save funds to get her own place. As time goes on, the bizarre things she is exposed to and sees with her own eyes, get more extreme. The scenes she witnesses in the VIP room, the Bed Show room and the Glory Hole shock her.

Hatred for men was already bubbling inside her due to her husband, but in this job, the perverts, cheapskates and abusive bullies, exacerbates it. Trying to get more money, Honey and Infinity go to a posh Scottsdale club. Honey is attacked by a customer, but she fights back. The cop lets the customer go and cuffs Honey. In the squad car, he is willing to trade sex in order for her freedom. She refuses and now must pay fines and court costs. Her dislike of men doubles. Honey is afraid she may have to ‘dirty dance’ like some of the others, to get the money that she desperately needs to get her own apartment, but she doesn’t want to.

Turns out that grandma Margaret was a burlesque dancer back in the day with Dory. Tells Honey to release the hate. Find out the real reason they are there and listen to them. Not all are jerks. Honey tries it and men who are grieving, feeling unattractive or just lonely, flock to her. Margaret throws a Thanksgiving dinner for the dancers and although fun, falls into hilarious chaos. Later, the Christmas party at the club is rocking until Princess starts a fight and threatens them with her cartel buddies.

On New Years, big party at the cabaret. Masked gunmen storm the club and rob customers. Honey and Infinity are also robbed at gunpoint but the other dancers won’t fork it over. When a gunman blasts a warning shot, Dory shoots him dead and the other thugs scatter as Honey blasts them too. . Honey is safe but shaken. She retires on the spot. Honey realizes the love missing from her life was found with her grandparents and the need to move out, fades away. She is now transformed to a beautiful person, inside and out. Honey can now live comfortably,, free from hatred and looking forward to a new life. -------------------------
