Way back in 1985, when people and communities were not so sensitive and definitely not politically correct, a nebbish white boy, driving a driveway car cross country, picks up a tenacious, muscle-bound black hitchhiker, who tricks him into rescuing his grandfather from an old folks home before he dies, all while falling in love with the unseen female owner of the car.
