A bipolar spin instructor enlists the help of a narcissistic personal trainer to try and keep his new job at a state-of-the-art gym, without revealing his true paranoia – the fear of sweat.
SYNOPSIS:
A bipolar spin instructor enlists the help of a narcissistic personal trainer to try and keep his new job at a state-of-the-art gym. It is Adam's first day and he finally has to reveal to his new boss, Heidi, that he teaches spin class without riding on his bike. What he doesn't tell her is that he has a crippling phobia - hyperthermosis - which is the fear of sweat. Heidi insists he ride since that is the job. Thinking he must have hemorrhoids, Roland (a personal trainer and the playboy of the gym) comes up with a plan to help Adam stay. If Adam can fill all the bikes in his upcoming class, then there won't be one available for him to ride. The two embark on approaching everyone they can to take Adam's class. They ask everyone from the impish, angry boy-like lesbian and the friendly, attractive student nurse to gym members who have never spun before and even other instructors. As they finally reach their numbers filling all the bikes with riders, Mike, the "technical engineer" fixes three more bikes. With less than 20 minutes to go, Adam and Roland try anything, from the "custodial services" lady to a sweaty homeless man. In the end, they pull it off and Adam gets to stay. But Heidi insists he will have to ride another day. Roland gets played by a woman he thought he was playing. And Mike's surprising, true relationship with the gym is revealed.
