About Alicia
Dr. Alicia Oberle Farmer is an international award-winning film director, producer, and actress, and she is known for her work on Rite of the Shaman (2022), Algea: God of Pain (2022), City of Salt (2020), He Never Left (2024), and The Witch of Wander Lane (2026).
In terms of directing and producing, Farmer is known for her keen eye for detail and composition. When asked about her directorial style, she stated “Every frame needs to look like a painting.” In regard to her acting, she has been type-casted as a scream queen and has met her demise in 8 films and counting. Additionally, Farmer is the founder and director of Zepstone Inernational Film & Music Awards and Zepstone Arts Festival.
Farmer is from Salt Lake City, UT and has a PhD in Education. She has been in the entertainment industry since she was 11-years-old, starting as a cover model before discovering the film industry.
Farmer has been an artist all of her life. Winning many different awards from an early age, including a Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Award when she was only 12, she strived for lifelong learning and a passion for helping others. During this time, she also began modeling and got her first taste for the entertainment industry.
Farmer graduated with a BA in English in 2011 (Westminster College), a Master of Education in 2013 (Westminster College), and a PhD in Education: Learning, Instruction and Innovation in 2018 (Walden University).
In 2016 Farmer founded her film production company Zepstone Media, and subsequently Zepstone International Film & Music Awards. An avid lover and supporter of the arts, her goal is to empower independent filmmakers, musicians, and visual artists around the world.
