Using a PR Firm As An Editor

Hi there. I'm an editor who was recently approached by a PR firm who works with below the line talent and I'm curious if anyone has experience working with a PR firm and/or has advice for me.

I edited the most episodes of the original Suits series as well as the major episodes (premieres, finales, se...

Ask yourself... do you NEED "PR"? and aimed at what demographic or group, and for what purpose? Seems to me editors get most of their work from industry referrals, once in a while possibly an agent.

Trailer Sound Design Tutorial

Hello creatives, here is another tutorial of mine. It is 13 minutes of information regarding how I approach certain techniques, and how I layer sound to properly marry audio to visuals.

I hope you can take away something from this! Please like and subscribe if you liked what you heard. I will make more tutorials.

Maurice Vaughan

Great tutorial, Kevin Gamble! The sounds make the trailer creepier and scarier. My favorite sound is the static. How long does it take to finish a trailer?

Kevin Gamble

Maurice Vaughan thanks! I can usually get it done in a day.

Maurice Vaughan

You're welcome, Kevin Gamble. That's really fast! You do incredible work quickly!

Paul Rivers

Kevin Gamble that is really cool tutorial. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Kevin Gamble

Paul Rivers My pleasure!

Boy, that was Tough!

I’m sure it’s hard to make some CGI, especially for big-budget movies and shows. What’s the most difficult CGI you’ve done? And how did you overcome the obstacles to finish it?

Mastering the Intense Warm Look: A Colorist’s Perspective

As a colorist, one of my favorite looks to craft is the intense warm aesthetic. It’s more than just saturating reds and yellows—it’s about creating an emotional pull that envelops the viewer in heat, nostalgia, or tension, depending on the context.

Have you tried the intense warm look in your project...
