About Barry

Barry left school at the age of 16 and enlisted into the armed forces. He was employed as an infantry man and specialized as a combat Patrol Team Medic. He has extensive experience working with many types of firearms and pyrotechnics as well as various equipment and vehicles.

Upon leaving the army he entered into catering and hospitality but found the industry to be very mundane. He decided he wanted something more challenging and exciting so he decided at first to be a background artist on a number of TV shows. He found that he enjoyed this so decided to try and become an actor. He has also taken part in student shorts.

He currently attends an acting class at the Belfast Crescent Arts Centre and has recently applied to SERC for a place on a Performing Arts course.
He also has an interest in what goes on behind the camera and has taken a few short film production courses including a trainee AD course with NI Screen.

In his spare time Barry enjoys archery and is a member of a Viking living history group.
