About Janos

About Me

I am a bilingual Hungarian/English-speaking freelance field/line producer, production manager, and social documentary photographer. Over the past two decades, I have lived across France, the USA, Japan, Israel, Cambodia, and Hungary. My academic background includes studies in Sociology, Tibetan, Cinematography, and Assistant Camera Craft.

With extensive experience in documentaries, travel shows, news segments, and short films, I also have a passion for independent avant-garde filmmaking. My work in slow cinema—creating Experimental Contemplative Short Films—emphasizes minimal or no camera movement and long takes to capture the zen of life. My films have been showcased at international film festivals in Los Angeles, Athens, Cefalù, Girona, and Zagreb, among others.

Production Services
If you're considering filming in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar, or Central Europe (especially Hungary), I offer comprehensive production support.

I collaborate with highly skilled professional film crews—both local and international—who are key players in the Cambodian and Thai film industries. Whether working on low-budget indie projects or large-scale international productions, I manage a carefully selected freelance team that ensures seamless operations from pre-production to wrap—even when I’m not physically on-site in Southeast Asia.

My services include:

Pre-production planning
Fixer services
Line producing
Production consultancy
Location scouting
Brainstorming creative shooting ideas
Research and securing interviews
Still photography & videography
Camera operation
Arranging hotels, catering, logistics
Interpreter services
Casting assistance
Securing all necessary permits for foreign film crews
