As a co-founder of Lone Palm Studios, I specialise in crafting character-driven comedies that blend sharp wit, heart, and a touch of adventure. Inspired by classics like The Pink Panther, Back to the Future, and the iconic Ealing comedies, I focus on making ordinary people extraordinary and turning unbelievable situations into believable, engaging stories.
My current slate of projects includes The Ex-Pats - Death in Benidorm (in late development/early pre-production), The Last Tour (a coming-of-old-age holiday film in development), and Regan’s Benidorm (a TV pilot set in the 1970’s sun-soaked world of the Costa Del Crime of Spain). In addition to narrative work, I’ve written and directed the pilot for the factual series Britain Uncorked, which celebrates the rich history and culture of British winemaking in a fun “Top Gear of Wine” format.
With experience in screenwriting, directing, producing, and independent film financing, I’m passionate about creating high-quality, audience-pleasing films and television projects that resonate across cultures and genres. I’m always open to connecting with like-minded professionals who share a passion for comedy and character-driven storytelling.
Unique traits: 1. Ordinary People, Extraordinary Stories “My work explores how everyday people can achieve the extraordinary, inspired by the whimsy of Ealing comedies and the inventive charm of Back to the Future.” 2. Believable in the Unbelievable “I thrive on crafting stories where the impossible feels natural, weaving humour and humanity into high-concept premises grounded in relatable emotions.” 3. Playful Tone with Depth “My films balance a lighthearted, playful tone with meaningful character arcs, ensuring they entertain while leaving a lasting impression.” 4. International Appeal “With a UK base and projects set in vibrant locations like Spain, my stories often explore cultural intersections, making them universally relatable.
The Ex-Pats - Death in Benidorm Budget: $1M - $5M | Thriller ⋄ Comedy Moving to your dream home in the sun: Great. Moving in next to a vegan serial killer: Not so great.

Frank and Jo’s lives are going according to plan. After all Frank has had it planned
since their first look, 6 years ago. Jo has a secret that will throw every plan into a
tailspin. Russ’s life is in turmoil since Amy left him for the ‘good looking bloke’. Maybe
it has always been in turmoil, since Frank’s first look from Jo was actually meant for

social groups feeling like a spare prick.
As Frank’s plan moves up a gear to the next phase of having children, both Jo and
Russ are compelled to think hard about their lives and choices.
Russ tries hard to accept this and move on with some clumsy attempts to find a

closer. The three circle and orbit each other desperately trying to find ways to make
their own move.
When Russ finally makes his move, some 6 years late, all three lives are turned upside
down as secrets spill out and truths are revealed.
