Born in Maracaibo, Venezuela, Douglas Morillo discovered photography early in life. He soon developed a passion for images that were able to capture people’s stories.
Regardless of the type of project, his goal as Director of Photography is to create images that will not only tell the story, that will affect the viewer on a subliminal level.
His imagery must support the story and help tell it in the most powerful way. He believes that this is the core principle behind his work. With a vast experience in all formats, both film and digital, Douglas has worked extensively on shortfilms, advertising television and documentaries. His films are screened at festivals around the world.
