Jessie van den Boorn is an up-coming film and media composer, born in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
She studied a Bachelor’s in Music Education at Conservatorium Maastricht and learned to sing and play instruments such as piano, guitar and tin whistle. She also trained to conduct choirs and arrange and compose music in a range of genres, from pop to classical. In 2018 she finished her Master’s Degree in Composing Music for Film and Television at the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.
Jessie has scored the music for several short films and documentaries made in both the Netherlands and the UK, like: Zwart, met Suiker (2013), Loslaten (2015), Crossroads (2015), Breekbaar (2015), Verdwaald (2016), Gewoon Daan (2017), Lady of the Lakes (2017) and Wild Chef (2017).
Jessie lives and works in Bristol.

Composer 'Crossroads' is about Tom and his son Nicky. Tom is an old successful motocross rider, but nowadays he spends his days mostly in the café and lives with his son in a caravan on an abandoned area. Slowly he begins to realize that this life isn't the future he wants his son to have.
