About Lynne

Lynne Ashe is a stage and screen actress, known for films such as The Suicide Squad; I, Tonya; Office Christmas Party; Wild Oats; and One of These Days. Television includes Will Trent, Stargirl; Stranger Things; Doom Patrol; The Outsider; Claws; and Brockmire. Although she has won awards for and been published for poetry, essays, and short stories, she only recently began writing for the screen.

Her first screenplay, Scuppernongs, won or placed as a top 10 finalist in over a dozen screenwriting competitions, including Filmarket Hub Feature Screenplay, Portland Screenplay Awards, Australia Independent Film Festival, Women Who Write in Film, Louisville's International Festival of Film, Austin Revolution Screenplay Awards, Moody Crab International Film Festival, Ojai Film Festival, and Page Turner Screenplays. Scuppernongs is currently listed in the top 1% of screenplays on Coverfly.

Scuppernongs is a Southern Gothic drama with elements of a psychological thriller. It takes place on a scuppernong vineyard, where twin brother and sister are coming of age. Covered with scars from a childhood incident held secret from them and raised by an aunt due to their mother's psychological illness, they are desperate to escape their small minded town. A handsome stranger, Will, is hired to help with harvest, and both twins vie for his affections. This triangle leads to a surprise reveal of the dark family secret from their past that changes their lives (and the livelihood of the town).

Unique traits: Lipoedema aka Lipedema (think neolithic fertility goddess statues)
