Marcelo Grion (aka Marcello Grion) is an italian-argentine filmmaker. He was born in Dolores, Argentina and moved to Miramar when he was five. He wrote his first script when he was eleven, and since then has always wanted to make films. At the age of 18 he moved to Buenos Aires to formally study film at the prestigious Fundacion Universidad del Cine. Afterwards he wrote, produced, and directed his first short films, "Jaque Mate," and "Luz de Amor." In 1995 he started working on his next big project: "El Extrano." It premiered in 1997. He then immigrated to the United States, then Italy, then back to the US. where he started shooting his first feature film in english, "The Prototype." Twenty years of hard work at odd jobs raising money to self-fund his film, he finally entered the final stages of post-production for the film.
Update: THE PROTOTYPE is completed and will be released in early 2022.
