Anthony Murphy

My wife and I owned and ran restaurants to raise our kids. After selling the restaurants, my beautiful wife said that she wants me to pursue my dream of writing professionally. She believes in me. How crazy is that? I graduated magna cum laude from a Benedictine college with a degree in English Lit. I've written all my life, mainly poetry and feature articles, but I'm relatively new to screenwriting, although it feels natural. I love the format, the structure. Besides being a writer, I'm a USA Boxing coach who has trained inner city kids for years; in addition to our boxers, I also tutored in our gym all kids that needed help from the neighborhood. My son twice won the Golden Gloves, but has developed a passion for track and field, so we're now throwing shot puts instead of punches.
