About Ricardo

I was born in Cordoba (Argentina) on April 22, 1970. I discovered that God is the center of life, and the youthful hope for tomorrow. I entered the Salesian Congregation and made my religious vows on January 31, 1990. I was ordained a priest on December 11, 1999. I am a University Technician in Communications from the Catholic University of Salta (UCASAL), and I have a degree in Audiovisual Production from the Universidad Abierta Interamericana (UAI) in Rosario (Santa Fe).

I was Provincial Delegate of Social Communication in the Salesian Inspectorate Beato Artemide Zatti (ARN - North Argentina) from 2008 to 2013. I directed "Bosco, en el Nombre de Dios" by Manuel González Gil (1995 Tucumán, Salta 2008 to 2009) and "Don Bosco, El Musical" (2011-2015).

In 2018 I made my opera prima writing the script and directing the short film "Zatti, our brother", which was shot from March 25 to April 5, 2019. It had its preview on March 13, 2020 in Turin (Italy), and its official release on the YouTube platform on June 11, 2020.

In 2021 I was called to work temporarily in the Social Communication Sector of the Salesian Congregation, at its Headquarters in Rome (Italy). In 2022 Pope Francis canonized Blessed Artemides Zatti, so we were able to dub the short film into English, Italian, French and Portuguese. So far, the film has more than 200,000 views, with an average of 180,000 viewers. The short film was produced by the Salesian Bulletin of Argentina and Don Bosco Argentina.
