WHAT PAYS THE BILLS
I'm a project manager (formerly assistant editor) and resource manager at an educational content development company called Words & Numbers.
WHY I'M ON STAGE 32
I'm also an MFA-credentialed fiction writer, but my dream is to write for television. I've written one draft of a near-full-length screenplay (85 pages), as well as a couple of embarrassing shorts, and I'm in the process of writing another screenplay, this time armed with the knowledge that will produce my best work ever. I'm also a producer of the short films "Our Father" (starring Michael Gross) and "Debris" and the upcoming feature 'Last Call at Murray's' (also starring Michael Gross).
CREDENTIALS
I completed ProSeries 47 at ; it changed my life and solidified the embarrassment I have for my previous screenplays.
Early in 2013, I shot and edited a 4 minute 25 second video blog on the challenges in education and why my company can overcome them.
I have an MFA in Creative Writing and Publishing Arts, which required me to self-publish my book of short fiction: Life on Other Moons. I have a BA in English with a minor in history from a small liberal arts college. I took video production in undergrad, which is when I first learned Final Cut Pro, and I took a screenwriting workshop in grad school.
I'm also an amateur photographer. I took a digital photography class as part of my MFA instruction.
Unique traits: Learn just about anything I set my mind to, quickly and well. Reliable. Uber planner. Attended a very small, all-male liberal arts college in the Midwest.
