Sue was born an Army Brat in Washington DC and raised in Richmond Virginia. As an adult, Sue focused that renowned southern charm and tenacity by becoming a trained and certified Victim's Advocate in both New York and in the Florida Keys. For over a decade, Sue specialized in profiling and in trauma/crisis intervention primarily on behalf of victims of sex crimes. By 2001, it was time for Sue to take a sabbatical to recuperate her heart and soul. Little did she know this time spent as a victim's warrior would later be the inspiration for a series of Novellas!
Sue always had a love and great talent for photography. Soon, this "hobby" flourished into a successful second career, offering unique images of models and fine art. At the same time, the urge for self-expression through writing also began to come to the forefront of Sue's professional life. By 2015, Sue self-published several novellas, including the riveting series entitled "Through Jade's Eyes", which cathartically revived Sue's experience as a sex crime victim's advocate.
Now a seasoned author, Sue turned her attention to bringing her novellas to the Screen. While interviewing screenwriters, Sue took the sage advice of a colleague and delved into the art of screenwriting herself! However, this new endeavor was abruptly placed on hold when Sue suffered a massive loss of both home and community with Hurricane Irma, shortly followed by open-heart surgery. But, you just can't keep a good southern woman down! After rest and recovery, Sue successfully pitched her first script to an independent producer. And now, there are more scripts being produced in 2020.
Sue has two featured scripts being made into movies in 2020 and is managed by C. Christian Andersen.
Sue's inspiration comes from her intense experiential relationship with the world around her, a love for interaction with different cultures and her unquenchable thirst for self-expression through the eyes of a lens and the stroke of a pen.
