Tony Boland

I am a working Writer/Director. As a writer, I started out placing in all the major screenwriting contests with several scripts. I made the finals of a few and even had Morgan Freeman select my winning script in one, which was pretty cool. Then I optioned five scripts in six years. Finally I got my first and second assignments. It was a slow but steady rise to a career. But then, my first assignment was just about to get a greenlight when the director/producer who hired me passed in his sleep. It reminded me that I was always meant to be a filmmaker, not only a screenwriter. So, I created my company Tonybabe Productions and I am currently raising financing for my feature The Reporter. I have a few shorts that I'm filming as well. You can never stand still in this business.
