I'm what I call a practical dreamer. The practical side of me led me to choose a practical career as a registered nurse while the dreamer side has spent hours formulating plots and stories which eventually get put down on paper in the form of a screenplay. I look at everyday occurrences as possible scenes, cataloging anything that seems interesting. It sometimes takes me years of dreaming and thinking and collecting ideas before anything ever hits the paper and even then I never quite know where a story could take me once I start writing. I never force anything. If I feel as though I am out of ideas, I simply leave it alone until something comes to me. This is why it can take more than a year to finish a piece once I do start writing and even then I feel I could always add to it.
